It sure is chilly outside. Autumn is by far my favourite season. It might have something to do with the fact it’s my birthday & I turn 30 this year! Wooohoo for me. No, but I love the cold evenings, all wrapped up in hat coats & gloves, also the yummy autumn colours. Golds, oranges & brown & the leaves falling off the trees! It’s great.
So we went to Manchester the other day, so John could hand in his thesis, the last piece of work for his Masters, we got stuck in a horrendous traffic jam on the motorway. The traffic was at a standstill for over 2 hours, UURRRGGHHHHH. Then we rushed and got his work bound, 2 copies & there was a queue for that, then we ran like the wind to the office only to find they closed at 3.30!!!!!! OMG was I mad. What kind of working hours are the 10–3.30. Crazy.
We still went to Wagamama for lunch as planned, although we were tired and a little down in the dumps. So we drove home a little flat & had to get up the next day & drive back to Manchester to hand it in. The good news is that it’s all finished & John only has to now wait on his results.
Oh, & our lovely 14-month-old TV has broken, we have sound but NO picture. So it has gone away to be repaired. We have no TV, so hurry back our beloved Hannspree TV, we miss your big screen! & I have to go without Oprah & project runway for 10 days. I have loads backed up to watch, too.
So as the days & nights get colder, I always wonder what it would be like to spend a night here …. at the ICE HOTEL!
