Keep me away from the pancakes

Yes its official i have outdone myself & toally pigged out on pancakes this weekend. I am to be kept as far away from the pancake mixture, lemons, sugar & maple syrup as id humanly possible. Its for my own good.

John & i have had a quiet weekend, just pottering around the house sorting out some old magazines and paperwork. I am getting things in order for when we move. I seem to have a fear of having too much clutter. I am sure i have spoke about this before. I hate having unessacary clutter & bits and bobs that people give for (often as gifts) that you do not want but have to find a suitable spot in your house for. For me thats the bin. I try and keep all the lovely things (sometimes not so lovely), but they stress me out & they have to go. At first in a draw then eventually in the bin. Everytime we move & thats alot i have to scale down our belongings get rid of things i haven’t used. Am i mad or do you do the same?

I finished Fast Food Nation, i know I am late in getting round to reading it. WOW i am not sure i shall be eating at low end fast food places anymore (not that we are frequant visitors to them). It makes you think about the price of your burger and what they put in it. I have started a slightly more lighthearted book, The Promise of Happiness. I seem to be reading books at a rate of one every 2/3 days. I read them then either give them to John or send them to my mum or my friend Emma. I believe in passing good books on.

We are just about to watch Valkyrie, hope it’s good as i do not normally like Tom Cruise.
I will leave you with some St Patrick’s Day badges we made on Friday for a lady in New Zealand.

Pancakes & Books

I have been eating my weight in pancakes these past few days & pancake day isn’t even upon us. I love love love them, drowned in fresh lemon juice with fresh stawberries on the side. YUM
Ok so i am not very good at flipping them over, hence it looks a little bashed.

When i was out & about in the big city i came accross these cute Penguin branded products. I love it very old school indeed.

Make it out Alive

So ok today i am simply moving at a snails pace, it does not help that i am sinking in a sea of badges in different states of done. Half cut out, printed, made & waiting to be posted. I just can seem to get anything finished. I have made myself THE biggest cup of sweet tea ever seen & i may sneek a chocolate biscuit & dunk it too.

What i really want to be doing is reading, but that will just have to wait. Oh me & my yummy husband (yes i can call him that) watched MILK the other night. I had no idea of this story, but adore Sean Penn. It did not disappoint it was a story very well told. Highly recommended.

Hope you’re having a more productive Tuesday than me.

Yes i am a stamp geek

Royal Mail have brought out a set of stamps to commemorate 150 years since Darwin released the publication of ‘On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection’. I have bought a set of the stamps from my local post office this morning & I LOVE them. I have always had a soft spot for stamps, and they always seem to bring out my inner geek.
Stamps are available from The Royal Mail website

We also have a Darwin badge on the koolbadges website.
