A Day in the Life of Koolbadges

I have tried to take a bit of time off over the past few days, as I have been making that many badges, my arm hurts a little. So I have done a lot of reading and finished a great book that my friend Paula bought for me last Christmas and hadn’t got round to reading it.

Valley of the Dolls

It’s a great read & I highly recommend it. It’s a cult classic. I am looking for what to read next. Any suggestions?

I have also been cheering for team GB at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and we are doing so well. Loving the Athletics and the Equestrian sports, oh & the swimming was great too. In fact, it’s all brilliant. COME ON, TEAM GB.

My hasn’t it been raining for days now! It’s dark & dull outside my window, but I have been mighty productive in the koolbadges workshop over the past few days. Oh, & I made some really lush yoghurt out of my raspberries that I picked last week, I have loads, so I will be eating it for the next few weeks!!!!

It’s the pub quiz tonight, we have to beat last week’s score of 35.5 out of 50 (yes the .5 is very important).

We have been fruit picking today, the season ends for berries this week & so off we went to Kenyon Hall Farm in Warrington, to see what was left to pick. We had a fab time, although John had more on his hands & in his belly than what we had in our tubs!!!

What a day, now we are off to eat our treasure.

It’s rained all day today, but it’s still warm out! It meant that I have spent all day in the koolbadges workshop & boy have I been busy making hen party badges, party badges & band badges.
BADGES

Homemade leek and potato soup for tea (with warm crusty bread), I love soup when it’s all raining and stormy outside!

…… oh and I have a confession to make, I have ordered more Moo cards!!!! I really am addicted to them.

The Dark Knight: what did you think, good film or not?
I thought it was great, maybe a wee bit long, but that’s just because I get a bit restless in the cinema & hate going for a wee in case I miss anything. Heath was incredible as the joker, I am sure that opinion is unanimous. So I have done some Dark Knight inspired badges, there are more to come, but these are in the shop now.

This weekend was taken up by the Grand Prix, I was gutted for Massa, but I am behind him to win the season. Also, John was busy most of Saturday as he went with his friend to buy a new laptop & they spent the rest of the day putting software on it & doing geeky things that I have no idea about. ... Happy Saturday!

It’s august already, I hear myself cry! It always shocks me how quickly the months go past. Esp now I am working from home, the days & weeks zip by. Since leaving work, John & I have never been so busy. Not just with the badges (although they are the busiest they have ever been) but also meeting up friends & family & visiting new places. We are having quite the adventure.

My Very good friend Sam & the adorable Ji-Sun have just got their own place in Suffolk & so I am hoping that when they are settled that Em & I can go visit. Trust my two best friends to live so far away. 🙁 ... Continue Reading
