A Day in the Life of Koolbadges

Just wanted to let you know that I’m still here. Since doing the 50% sale last week we have been overwhelmingly busy. A big thank you to all those who placed orders. We really do appreciate your custom.

We’re working like little worker bees to get all the orders out & clear the backlog to hang in there.

During December we ask that you allow enough time for your badges to arrive. If you are planning on ordering for Xmas please ado so ASAP x

Christmas spirit has come to Scotland. I have noticed some really cute Xmas displays & decorations and its making me want to get my tree up, the only sad thing this year is all my stuff is in storage 300 miles away. So we won’t be able to use our tree & decorations. We will have to help my brother with his. I am also taking my 3 year old niece to pick some cute decorations for her tree. God knows what we will come home with.

We are going to Edinburgh next weekend to visit the Christmas markets. My friend Emma is off to Germany to the Christmas markets. So jealous. I hope she brings me back something yummy :o)

I will take some pics of what Edninburgh has to offer.

We are in full Christmas Badge making swing & we have had our first mince pies of the season. :o)

Busy weekend up here in Scotland. We spent Saturday at the printers then working hard in the koolbadges studio. Sunday we met my mum for coffee & then went to my brothers for Sunday lunch. I love having Sunday lunch made for me. My niece was on top form she is the cutest thing. We watched Mary Poppins & Home Alone. This is one 3yr old with great taste in movies.

Monday has been just as busy. You are keeping us busy with your Movember orders & we are starting to see a lot more Christmas badge orders too. Remember they make great little stocking fillers and are Handmade :o)

There are quite a few things i look forward too during the winter, although i mourn the loss of Autumn for a few days i remember quite quickly that winter can be almost as great. (my heart belongs to autumn). So here are a few things i am excited for this winter.

 

What are you most looking forward too?

Being the daughter of an ex service man i have a special place in my heart for all service men & women. They do a fantastic selfless & at times thankless job. I am immensely?Ǭ†proud of our troops . I was lucky enough to live all over the world with the armed forces & have some wonderful memories growing up that way.

This Sunday with the rest of the country i will be remembering the great brave work our troops do everyday and honouring those who don’t come home & are injured on duty. I know remembrance day is the 11/11 & i observed the 2 minutes silence then too, but there is always a service on the Sunday too.

The Royal British Legion is celebrating 90 years this year. I hope they raise more money than every before. I will be wearing my Knitted Poppy from the lovely Rachel from Stitch in the City who raised over ?Ǭ£600 selling her Poppies all her profits are going to the poppy appeal.

 

I love horses and used to ride as much as i could. I lived in Cyprus for 3 years and was lucky enough to finish school at midday. At which point i would head right to the stables. I would get right involved in mucking out, feeding, cleaning tack & often i was able to ride the horses for free. It was a great place to live & the amazing warm weather made riding an absolute pleasure.

I havent riden for almost 10 years & have often thought of getting back into it. I think my main 2012 resolution will be to find a stables & get my jodhpurs on. Im quite excited thinking about it. I will keep you updated.
